This Christmas, Join IGA Donges and McDonald Signs
by being Santa for Sick Kids.
For most kids, Christmas is a time for toys and fun.
For the seriously ill and injured children staying at Ronald McDonald House, they just want their families close as they battle childhood diseases, illnesses and injuries.
On average, it costs Ronald McDonald House Charities $160 to support a family for one night.
We need to raise 525 nights to provide a home away from home for kids undergoing life-saving treatment this Christmas.
By donating now, you can give a seriously ill or injured child the best gift of all - their family.
So, will YOU Be a Santa for Sick Kids this Christmas?

How It Works
1. Gift a donation
Gift a Christmas donation or send a Christmas e-card to your friends and family.
2. Decorate our tree
Once you make a donation, your name will be printed on a Santa hat and added to our Christmas tree by the kids staying at the House.
3. Support a sick child
Your donation will support a family with a sick or injured child through one of the toughest times of their lives.
You can be a Santa for...
Meet some of our brave and courageous local kids. Kids just like them need a Santa this year.
Clancy
At just six years old, Clancy was diagnosed with Leukaemia. Clancy and his family have spent 108 nights at Ronald McDonald House so that Clancy could be close to the hospital and receive lifesaving treatment.
“The House was so important and special, as the saying goes it's a home away from home. We had a place to come back to each night that was safe and secure.
Being able to talk and relax with other parents while the kids played, it was a great sight, seeing the kids all playing together even though they were going through treatment. The House was a lifesaver that we will be forever grateful for”
- Katie, mum of Clancy
Eli
At just 3 years old Eli was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Within two days, the family was rushed to Sydney. Eli and his family spent over 9 months at Ronald McDonald House while Eli underwent lifesaving treatment.
“To us, Ronald McDonald House (RMH) means to a safe, inviting home to stay in through an extremely difficult time. Meeting new lifelong friends and knowing at the end of the day that even though you are far away from home, you have a home to go to.
We would of been lost without the accommodation and support RMH provides and we will be forever grateful for all that they do”
– Nickara, Storm & Eli
Maddie
At just seven years old, Maddie was involved in a terrible car accident that would change her family's life forever. Maddie showed incredible strength, resilience, and plenty of cheekiness throughout her recovery. In the words of her dad, “she’s bloody tough”.
Sadly Maddie passed away in late October last year due to complications with her recovery.
“Talking with other families, which is the biggest help, without this House, we couldn’t meet those families and that is one of the major therapies for us” – Aaron, Maddie's dad
